Claudio Vignali

Piano Solo Live

Release date:

Solo piano is a practice that has always accompanied the artist and is reintroduced in each concert with a different guise, thanks to the pianist’s vast repertoire ranges from more traditional original jazz compositions to reinterpreted classical pop music pieces. In some live performances, such as the “Live Fano Jazz” video, electronics are used. Vignali’s solo piano is a musical journey in which tradition and modernity come together.

The artist’s latest recording work is indeed “Piano Solo Live,” a collection of recordings made all over Europe, in important festivals and theaters, including Montreux Jazz Festival, Geneve Piano Festival, Teatro Comunale Bologna and many others.

The record received excellent critical acclaim and was presented by some of the most important jazz personalities at the inter-national level.

Joe Locke defines Claudio Vignali’s work this way:
“Through the prism of his art, pianist Claudio Vignali draws a clear line connecting the beauty and genius of Bach, Bird, Bill Evans and the Blues. This collection of pieces offers a sublime listening exprerience.
It is overflowing with sophisticated musical content while conveying great emotions.”

Tiger Okoshi of Berklee Music School defines the record thus:
“My dear friend Claudio Vignali is a truly exceptional musician and human being. His piano can speak musical languages elegantly, imaginatively, emotionally and innovatively, always fluently. The right hand and the left hand converse in an amazing and breathtaking way! He has all kinds of “X-Factors” and “Wows” in him.”
